Amy is working on it.
Her debut novel, Let The Soil Rest is forthcoming from Curbstone Books in early 2027. She’s an honored and flabbergasted recipient of a 2016-2017 Minnesota Emerging Writer’s Grant and two Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grants, 2015 and 2017. Her work has appeared in haphazard files all over her desktop, scribbles on bar napkins, and a handful of cool lit mags like Poetry City, USA, The Boiler Journal, Stanley The Whale, and Northeast Review. She received her MFA from Minnesota State University-Mankato and teaches Creative Writing at Minnstate’s Century College, the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop, and The Loft Literary Center. Amy writes at May Day Cafe in south Minneapolis and her mom’s coffeeshop, LuLu Beans in Willmar, MN. She lives with her husband John, dogs Walter and Shirley, and a rotating cast of friends who might need a bite, beer, bed, or book.
